The Tripura State Cooperative Bank (TSCB) celebrated its 67th foundation day on Sunday. Chairman of the Bank, Kamal Kanti Sen said the bank is working in helping unemployed youths and farmers in achieving self reliance. 

In the foundation day, TSCB held a press conference and Sen highlighted the bank’s achievements and goals. 

He said that the bank is committed to making the state’s unemployed youths, small and medium scale farmers Atmanirbhar by implementing various schemes of the central and state governments.

Underlining performance of the TSCB, Sen said that the bank’s business has grown by 49.33% since 2017-18 and reached Rs. 6067.04 Crore. He also said that the bank has earned a profit of Rs. 84.22%. He listed some of the bank’s other achievements in the last five years, such as opening 10 ATM counters, distributing 136 Micro ATM devices, and issuing 9800 new Rupay ATM cards to its customers.

The chairman also revealed the bank’s future plans. He said the future plans include opening 14 new branches and setting up 20 more ATM counters across the state. 

He said that the bank will focus on the credit needs of cooperative societies in various sectors such as food, grain storage, Jan Aushadhi Kendra, petrol pump, LPG distribution agency, and others, following the guidelines of the Government of India and NABARD.
