ProMASS, Sep 29, 2016: Cutting across the political differences, all Political Parties have assured their supports in facing as situation and lauded surgical strikes by Indian Army on terror launch pads across the LoC. The DGMO briefed the leaders about the strike at an all party meeting in New Delhi this evening.
Information and Broadcasting Minister Venkaiah Naidu informed media, the leaders unanimously complimented the Army for the operation. He also informed the surgical strike targeted 5 to 6 places across LoC along Kupwara and Poonch. Naidu stated, there is no casualty on Indian side. Talking about surgical strike, he said these terrorists were planning to attack some towns and important places which prompted Army to act.
Senior Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad asserted that opposition will always extend support to the government action to counter the Pakistan-sponsored terrorism. JD(U) leader Sharad Yadav also echoed the same view saying cross border terrorism should be dealt in this manner only. Earlier, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj met Congress President Sonia Gandhi and briefed her about army’s surgical strikes.
