ProMASS, Agartala, Oct 15: Supporters of the State BJP unit has gheroued Tripura CM Manik Sarkar’s official residence protesting against alleged attack on BJP State President Biplab Deb on Friday night. Scuffle broke out between security personnel and BJP supporters in which at least 4 BJP supporters and 2 security personnel received injuries. The injured persons had been taken to hospital.
In a press conference, Vice President of State BJP unit Subol Bhaumik claimed, 6 supporters of BJP were injured after security personnel attempted dispersing the supporters.
Notably, a group of miscreants, allegedly ruling CPI-M supporters stormed into residence of BJP State President Biplab Deb’s residence here on Friday night. It is learnt that Personal Security Officer (PSO) of Biplab Deb had to fire one round in air to disperse the culprits. Upon receiving a complaint from Biplab Deb, Police swung into action and arrested 4 persons till now.
