ProMASS: Dec 7, 2016: The engine and two derailed coaches which were infringing the track at Samuktala station have been tackled by the departmental crane and after carrying out safety check the track have been certified fit for traffic movement at 01-15 pm. Chief Public Relations Officer, NFR Pranav Jyoti Sharma informed this.
Accordingly running of trains over that section has become normal. It may be mentioned here that two persons died and six others sustained simple injuries when the engine and two coaches (one SLR and one General Second class coach) of 13248 Up Rajendra Nagar – Guwahati Capital Express derailed at Samuktala Road station under Alipurduar Division of N. F. Railway in Alipurduar district Of West Bengal nearing Assam border at around 09.15 pm last night (6th December 2016).
