Agartala, May 23, 2019: Call Centres, best known for productive and focused work environment, are the workplace for a good number of people all over the globe specially in India. The job is full of fun, professionalism and challenges and everywhere in the floor there are many things new to experience and enjoy.

All people working in call centres bear a common thing called ‘smartness’. Call Centre is a place where an unseen competition always prevails among the employees for achieving target and strengthening their profiles. The employees never feel like working in low-grade workstation. They gradually become passionate and competent in tackling all situations.

Importantly, the call centres help grow the youth having problem in spoken English beyond imagination. Besides, the environment gives each employee confidence to face the real-time challenges in best possible way.

There are mainly two types of process in call centres – Inbound (where customer calls with specific query, request or complaint) and Outbound (the executives call customers to sell company’s products and educate them about special offers). Both the Inbound and Outbound process have two categories: voice and non-voice including technical support team.

Most importantly, call centre industry opens huge job opportunities for youths. In some of the big cities like Delhi, Noida, Bangalore, Kolkata, Gurgaon and Ahmedabad the call centre industry is used as one of the key tools for reducing the unemployment rate.

According to reports, demand for call centre jobs is growing substantially among the youngsters across the country. There are various reasons: call centres, well known for good work culture, provide a big platform to the youth for learning new things — there are new challenges at every moment.

The employees of Call Centres get an opportunity to boost their communication skills — they get chance to speak with new people from all walks of life with utmost confidence. Most importantly, they develop soft skill while dealing with every single caller. After a few months in job, the gentleness automatically starts reflecting in their attitude which naturally brings a positive impact in their personal and social life.

Some people call the ‘Call Centres’ big bag of many hidden/unhidden successes.

But many people don’t really like call centre jobs just because of stress problem. As part of their job, the call centre (Inbound) employees get scolded by random callers on a daily basis — it virtually leads to huge stress if not handled properly. However, the focused work environment injects a sense of being responsible among the employees.

If Tripura government takes note and initiates a plan to set up Call Centre industry in the state, there will be huge job opportunities for the youths. If everything falls in right place, the proposed move will surely work in balancing the unemployment issue and it will have major contribution towards creating human resource.

Apart from generation of income, the Call Centre industry, if set up, would considerably bring a positive change in various arenas within a short span of time. (Courtesy: Tripura Times dt May 23, 2019)
