13th Tripura University Convention: Governor emphasizes innovation, Problem Solving

Governor of Tripura Indrasena Reddy Nallu has called upon students to focus on innovation and problem-solving rather than merely acquiring degrees and certificates. Addressing the 13th convocation ceremony of Tripura Central University at Maharaja Bir Bikram Centenary Building on Sunday, the Governor emphasised that the future of our country rests on the shoulders of today's students.

The Governor urged the degree and medal recipients to use their knowledge to bring about positive changes in society and contribute to the nation's development. He also advised the university faculty to introduce courses aligned with contemporary demands to equip students for the competitive global job market.

The Governor stressed the importance of incorporating technology in education to foster innovation, research, and entrepreneurship. He suggested creating an environment where students can thrive in a changing world.

"To achieve this, we need to establish advanced research centers and incubators," said the Governor. He also advocated for hands-on learning opportunities in collaboration with relevant organizations, emphasizing the need for skill development training, digital infrastructure, and online learning platforms. Furthermore, he advised students and faculty to focus on research based on Tripura's natural resources.

During the convocation, the Governor awarded medals and certificates to postgraduate students. Tripura Central University Chancellor Ahmed Javed conferred medals on postgraduate students, while Vice-Chancellor Professor Gangaprasad Prasain presented certificates to PhD scholars.

In his speech, Chancellor Ahmed Javed urged students to find innovative solutions to problems. The Vice-Chancellor delivered the welcome address and presented the annual report. Registrar Deepak Sharma expressed gratitude.
