Chandra memorial Super Four Football: Egiye Chalo Sangha trample Lal Bahadur Vyayamagar 4-0

In a match held at Umakanta Mini Stadium, Egiye Chalo Sangha defeated Lal Bahadur Vyayamagar by a resounding 4-0 score in the ‘Shyam Sundar Co. Jewelers’ Chandra Memorial League Football Super Four in Agartala on Tuesday.

From the beginning, Egiye Chalo team played according to coach Sujit Haldar’s plan, putting pressure on Lal Bahadur’s defense. They scored their first goal in the 14th minute when Satyam Sharma scored with a right-footed shot, giving his team a 1-0 lead. Ten minutes later, Shyam Kumar scored his first goal of the season for Egiye Chalo Sangha, further extending their lead. The winning team ended the first half leading 2-0.

In the second half, Egiye Chalo's players repeated their first-half performance. Milan Singh scored in the 9th minute of this half, making it 3-0. Lal Bahadur then tried to make a comeback but failed to score. In the 15th minute of the second half, goalkeeper Shashan Kumar Jamatia received a red card for handling the ball outside the box. With Lal Bahadur down to 10 men, Egiye Chalo dominated the match. Although they couldn't score more than one goal after that, Samson Salam scored the fourth goal for the team during injury time.

Ultimately, Egiye Chalo Sangha secured a 4-0 victory, earning 3 valuable points from their second match in the Super Four. They now have 4 points from 2 matches.

On the other hand, Lal Bahadur team now has 3 points from 2 matches. The absence of Lal Biak Moiana had a significant impact on the team, as evident in this match.

Referee Nizam Tamuliar showed 5 yellow cards and 1 red card in the match. Sabat Jamatia of the winning team was chosen as the best player of this important match.
