Covid19 Vax: 888 health workers get shot in arms in Tripura

Along with the entire country, Vaccination drive started conducted at 17 designated session sites across Tripura. As per the report, 888 health workers received the Covid19 jab in the State and there was no report of any adverse side effects of the Vaccination till the report was filed.  
 

Since the morning, the enthusiasm among the health workers and session sites was worth noticeable. Almost all the session sites received considerable footfalls and frontline warriors while sharing their experience said there was nothing to get worried about. 


 

“I have received the first dose of the vaccine today”, said Champa Begum, an ASHA worker in front of Paschim Bhuvan Ban primary health centre. On being asked of her experience she said, “there is nothing to worry about. The sisters present inside the vaccination site are asking everyone to wait for 30 minutes after receiving the dose and after the time is over they are advising everyone to return to the session sites following a message they will receive from the end of the national health mission”. 


 

Another ASHA worker, Chanda Deb Paul said, “there is nothing to fear. I have not even realized some drug is administered on me. I am fit and fine like I have come here. Although, the on-duty nurse sisters have given me their contacts to call them if any adverse impact develops”. 


 

As per the last resorts, vaccination of altogether 888 healthcare workers have been completed. Barring a few session sites, vaccination ended by 5 PM in the evening. The average of vaccination has been recorded 64 percent higher than the national average of 60 percent, said NHM (National Health Mission) Mission Directorate Siddhartha Shiv Jaiswal.


 

The NHM head also said, “there has been no report of adverse effect so far in the state and the average vaccination that we have achieved today is satisfactory and it will only improve with time”.
