Mission Vidyajyoti to strengthen infrastructure of education system: Tripura ICA Minister

Birendranagar Higher Secondary School of Jirania has been brought under Mission Vidyajyoti. Inaugurating a programme held on this occasion on Friday,

 

Vidyajyoti-School-Mission-100-Tripura-NewsInformation & Cultural Affairs Minister Sushanta Choudhury said, Mission Vidyajyoti is being implemented to strengthen the infrastructure of the education system of the state. As a result, students will be able to gain quality education, through which students of the state will be able to achieve success in national-level competitive exams.

 

He said, the education department will turn 125 schools to CBSE primarily. Rs 500 crore will be spent to improve the education infrastructure of the schools. Best schools from every sub-division will be brought under this Mission. The scheme will especially help merit students from poor families to avail of national-level education.

 

The ICA Minister expressed his gratitude to Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath for bringing Birendranagar Higher Secondary School and Sukanta Academy of Majlishpur constituency under the scheme.

 

The ICA Minister said, this school holds significance as students of this school are working in respected positions in different parts of the society.

 

He handed over educational items to a few students of class 1.

 

The vote of thanks was delivered by Assistant Head Master of the school Debashish Pal. Other dignitaries present during the programme were Chairperson of Jirania Nagar Panchayat Ratan Kumar Das, Vice Chairman of Jirania Panchayat Samiti Pritam Debnath, SDM Jiban Krishna Acharya, Principal of Khumulwng Degree College Pranajit Bardhan, Head Master of the school Sankar Saha and social worker Gouranga Bhowmik.
