Philanthropic drive by Tripura Gramin Bank

Tripura Gramin Bank (TGB) which is playing a pioneering role in the socio-economic development of the State is also involved in civic action programmes. As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, Tripura Gramin Bank Officer’s Association distributed winter clothes and masks among elderly underprivileged rickshaw pullers in Agartala on Sunday. Also, essential commodities including food and blankets were donated to Nabaprantik Orphanage at Amtali.

In a simple event organized in the Bank premises at Radhanagar, blankets, monkey caps and masks were distributed to poor and elderly rickshaw pullers.  Among others, general manager Maniprashad Hazra and secretary of the Association Mrinal Kanti Bhowmik and members of the Association were present in the programme.

Later Bhowmik reiterated that such humanitarian activities of the Bank and Association would continue.

Tripura Gramin Bank and its staff are engaged in financial transactions and loan distribution fostering the growth of the State as well as in humanitarian activities for socially underprivileged people. Recently, celebrating 45th Foundation Day, the TGB held mega blood donation camp as part of the civic action programme recently in Agartala.

“We are conducting loan melas in different parts of the State and are also engaged in several philanthropic activities like Blood donation, distribution of essentials among the needy people etc. And, as part of our CSR, we have donated food to Nabaprantik Orphan Ashram today after we came to know that the Ashram authority is facing a food crisis. We are also happy that we have distributed winter clothes among needy and elderly rickshaw pullers”, TGB Officer’s Association members commented.
