State’s senior cricket team is all set to begin its campaign in the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 cricket tournament on Saturday, taking on the formidable Tamil Nadu in their opening match. The game is scheduled to start at the Holkar Stadium in Indore. Both teams wrapped up their final preparations on Friday, gearing up for an exciting contest.
Despite Tamil Nadu’s reputation as a cricket powerhouse, the Tripura camp remains confident and undeterred. Led by Mandeep Singh, the team is ready to present a stiff challenge.
Tripura’s players draw confidence from their strong performances against top teams like Mumbai and Baroda in the Ranji Trophy, which has bolstered their self-belief.
