During this visit and review meeting, the Union Minister said that his visit serves as a strong reminder of the importance of women empowerment and the transformative impact of self-reliance in building a more resilient and prosperous society.

He began his visit by inspecting an old age home established under the Deendayal Upadhyaya National Urban Livelihoods Mission and had a meaningful discussion with the destitute women residing there. One of the highlights of the Union Minister's visit was a Griha Prabesh ceremony where, along with local officials and residents, he cut the ribbon for the beneficiaries who had received benefits under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) scheme. The beneficiaries gave the Minister a warm welcome with traditional conch shells and flowers.

He also inaugurated an exhibition organized by self-help groups at the newly constructed Khowai bus stand. The women showcased the transformative progress in their social and economic conditions and highlighted how government support has empowered them to become job creators instead of job seekers.

The MoS said, "Sitting at the Khowai bus stand, I have heard from self-help group women about how the Government of India has helped them become self-reliant and how they have now become job-creating sisters."

He said their heartfelt appreciation for the Prime Minister reflects the positive impact it has had on their lives.

In the final phase of the visit, the Minister inspected the third-level solid waste center established under the Swachh Bharat Mission and interacted with the self-help group sisters who operate it and process plastic waste and organic waste through machines to earn additional income.

On social media X, he wrote, "During my visit to Khowai district, I have observed the Government's strong resolve and commitment to further strengthen Tripura's social welfare and local initiatives. Moreover, I am inspired by the stories of empowerment and self-reliance of community sisters inspired by the innovative leadership and initiative of our Prime Minister. Women are playing a vital role in the development of their families and society through their entrepreneurial spirit, leadership, and determination."
