In a bizarre incident, a 26 years old youth committed suicide in Tripura by hanging himself and streamed the whole incident live in social media.
The incident took place at Dhin Jamjuri Gangfira area under Udaipur sub-division in Tripura.
Police sources said, the deceased identified as Rupak Das has tied a saree surrounding his neck and committed suicide. He live streamed the incident in social media using his facebook account.
The reason behind his death is yet to be ascertained and it is also a reason for worry as to why he live streamed the whole incident. He was the only bread winner of his family.
“A UD case has been registered in connection with the incident and the body was sent for medical examination”, said police.
Meanwhile, local people suspected that family disputes or depression might be the reasons. Committing suicide while live streaming the whole act in social media is really unsettling, locals commented.
