Tripura Governor urges students to draw inspiration from country’s illustrious history and epics

Governor of Tripura Indrasena Reddy Nallu emphasized the importance of embracing India's rich cultural heritage, values, and traditions. While inaugurating the year-long Platinum Jubilee Celebration of Fatikroy Higher Secondary School in the Unakoti District, the Governor urged the students to draw inspiration from India’s illustrious history and epics, underscoring how the nation’s traditions instill patience and tolerance.   

The Governor also lauded Fatikroy Higher Secondary School for its significant contributions to quality education over the decades and expressed hope that it would continue to uphold its reputation in the future.

During the ceremony, the Governor released the school’s Platinum Jubilee souvenir and opened its newly established art gallery.

The art gallery showcases an impressive collection of paintings, sculptures, and other artworks created by the talented students of the School.

The event also featured a vibrant cultural program performed by students, celebrating India's diversity and traditions.

The Platinum Jubilee holds special significance as Fatikroy Higher Secondary School steps into its 75th year. Established on January 1, 1951, the school was upgraded to include Class XII in 1985. Over the years, it has stood as a pillar of education, nurturing generations of students in the area.

Government's Commitment to Educational Excellence

Speaking on the occasion, Tripura Government Minister and Fatikroy MLA, Sudhangshu Das, reiterated the state government’s commitment to providing quality education. He announced that the government had allocated Rs 10 crore for the construction of a new school building and for improving the school’s infrastructure and sports facilities. Work on these initiatives has already commenced, marking a new chapter in the school’s journey.

The Minister also encouraged students to actively participate in social work alongside their studies, highlighting the holistic approach to education embraced by the school.

Distinguished Guests and Future Endeavors

The Platinum Jubilee celebration was attended by prominent personalities, including Chairman of Unakoti Zilla Parishad Amalendu Das, Chairman of the School Management Committee Nilakanta Sinha, and Assistant Head Teacher Krishna Ranjan Pal, among others.

School authority informed the media that the Platinum Jubilee festivities would continue throughout the year, with various activities planned to honor the school’s legacy and commitment to education.
