Tripura News: Proper Covid management prevented Corona death among Jail inmates

Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb claimed that there was no report of death of any jail inmate due to coronavirus in the state so far following proper management.

 

The Chief Minister said this after inaugurating a newly-constructed sub-jail at Dharmanagar on Saturday.

 

He said the state government had already arranged free treatment and computer training for the jail inmates apart from introducing a fair transfer policy and taking important initiatives for new recruitment and promotion of the jail staff.

 

“Our government also brought an amendment for parole of jail inmates and introduced online hearing of cases,” Deb said.

 

As part of his visit to North Tripura, the Chief Minister also inaugurated the newly-built Circuit House at Dharmanagar and inspected Algapur Gram Panchayat office.

 

Addressing the programme, he said, the state government was working to achieve the ‘Swanirbhar Tripura’ goal of Prime Minister NarendraModi. The state government was delivering good governance by ensuring proper healthcare, education, pucca house, drinking water and electricity to all at every corner of the state, the Chief Minister said.

 

Deb also claimed that Tripura was now holding the top position in the country in terms of vaccination. The state had already achieved 92 percent vaccination of 18+ people., he added.

 

In his visit to Algapur Gram Panchayat, the Chief Minister interacted with the local elected representatives and inquired about various works. He also passed an instruction to the concerned representatives to accelerate the work progress so that the people get the benefits.

 

Later, the Chief Minister wrote on his official Facebook handle that he was overwhelmed by the greetings of the children during the visit to North Tripura district.

 

The Chief Minister was accompanied by MLA BiswabandhuSen and others during the inaugural programmes.
