Tripura Police arrest six Bangladeshi citizens, recover fake Aadhar cards, Indian currency etc

Tripura Police arrested six Bangladeshi nationals in Kailashahar under Unakoti district on Thursday. The arrested people entered Tripura illegally on Wednesday late at night.

 

Two fake Aadhar cards, Indian currency worth Rs 4950, six mobiles and a passbook of the SBI were recovered from their possession.

 

Bangladeshi-citizen-TripuraPolice personnel of the Irani Police Station received secret information that six people were wandering at Tilabazar area under the Police Station. Led by Police officer Abu Aawal, police reached the spot and interacted with them. Being suspicious, police brought the six persons to the Irani Police station and Officer-in-charge of Irani Police Station in Kailashahar, Jatindra Das interrogated the six persons.

 

During interrogation, the six persons confessed they are Bangladeshi nationals and entered Tilabazar after illegally crossing the border, Das told the media.

 

On their motive behind entering Tripura, Das said, according to them they came to India in search of work.  

 

He added, all six persons hail from different districts of Bangladesh and they were scheduled to board a train from Kumarghat rail station for Tamil Nadu to join in their workplaces.

 

Six arrested Bangla nationals are Shamim Mian, Md Suhag Kazi, Soyel Rana, Aal Amin Rahman, Faruk Hussain and Sowan Mian.

 

The Officer-in-charge also said according to the arrested Bangladeshi persons, a Bangladeshi broker helped them to cross the barbed wire fenced border. The broker also assured them that another broker from Tilabazar would help them to board the train. However, they could not find the broker in Tilabazar.

 

The Police will produce the arrested persons before the Court and started an investigation.
