He continued and wrote, "During the meeting, I had the opportunity to discuss crucial issues concerning the railway communication system in Tripura. I sought the intervention and necessary assistance of the Union Minister in resolving these issues".
Chowdhury said, one of the key requests that he made to the Union Railway Minister was to allow a brief stoppage for long-distance trains at the Jirania railway station, which falls under the 10 Majlishpur Assembly Constituency from where Chowdhury was elected.

This decision aims to improve the overall commuting experience for the general public", the Transport Minister announced.
He visited Jirania station this morning and personally inspected the boarding and disembarking facilities for long-distance trains. He also took the opportunity to engage with passengers and gather their feedback on the newly introduced stoppage.
"Their positive responses and appreciation reaffirmed the importance of this initiative", he said.
"I would like to express my sincere gratitude to our esteemed Chief Minister, Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha, for his unwavering support throughout this process. Additionally, I extend my heartfelt thanks to Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav for promptly addressing our concerns and ensuring the implementation of this favorable decision.
