Union Budget: Tripura University holds seminar


Department of Business Management, Tripura University organized a seminar on the topic ‘Union Budget 2022: Analysis and Implication” on Thursday. 

 

It was inaugurated by Prof. Ganga Prasad Prasain, Vice Chancellor, Tripura University, as the Chief Guest and Prof. Shyamal Das, Dean, Faculty of Arts and Commerce, as Guest of Honour. The Inaugural address was delivered by Prof. Debarshi Mukherjee, Head, Department of Business Management. 

 

Prof. Mukherjee has shared that such initiatives have been planned to equip the students with the necessary knowledge on the national economy at large along with its finer nuances which will help them in the future to secure good placements.  

 

Tripura-University-Union-BudgetIn his address, Prof. Prasain applauded the department for taking such an initiative and expressed his happiness that the department is utilizing its in-house resources for the seminar. He has put immense importance on gaining knowledge in the field of economics which will help the students to become not only smart managers but also responsible citizens. 

 

Prof. Das has appreciated the govt’s initiative of establishing the national digital university and expected the students from far-flung areas can reach the best of schools using online platforms. 

 

The introduction to Union Budget 2022 was initiated by Ambarish Deb, Guest Faculty of the department who highlighted the themes and visions of the budget. It was followed by three technical sessions devoted on to the topics of Receipt Budget, Expenditure Budget and sector-wise comparison by Poulami Ray, Sukanya Sen and Sunam Nandi respectively, all Guest faculties of the Department.

 

During the course of the seminar, various important facts were brought to the surface and different budgetary provisions, welfare schemes along with their probable implications were deliberated upon.    

 

The session was attended by Professors, academics, Research Scholar, and students of MBA and BBA. The seminar received a very positive response from all quarters of the University fraternity. In the end vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Manish Das, Assistant Professor, Department of Business Management, Tripura University.
