ProMASS: Dec 21, 2016: Union Health Minister JP Nadda laid the foundation of super specialty health centre at Moti Lal Nehru Medical college in Allahabad today. The new super specialty block will be built under the “Pradhanmantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana” scheme. The new project will provide facilities of super specialty treatments and will also give opportunity for various Post PG courses in specialized medical fields.
While laying the foundation of super specialty block the Union Health Minister said that the Centre has allocated sufficient fund for various health schemes being implemented across the country. He said that the state Medical Colleges and Hospitals are being upgraded and facilities in primary and community health centers will also be improved. He said a cancer hospital in Allahabad will also be built in the next phase.
The new super specialty block will be developed at the cost of 150 crore rupees. Speaking on the occasion Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare Anupriya Patel said that the public health system is being taken to all corners of the country to provide health services to people.
