Government Focuses on Governance and Development
After announcing the portfolio allocation, Chief Minister Sarma extended his best wishes to all Cabinet colleagues. He expressed confidence that the team would work together to deliver efficient governance and accelerate Assam’s development journey.
Earlier, on June 5, Sarma said he would assess administrative needs and review the strengths of individual ministers before finalizing the portfolio allocation. The government reviewed departmental needs before making the final decisions.
Two Cabinet Berths Still Vacant
The Assam Cabinet currently includes the Chief Minister and 16 Cabinet ministers. The present team took office following the NDA’s victory in the recent Assam Assembly elections.
