ProMASS: Nov 26, 2016: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is taking part in the deliberations at the ongoing 51st Annual Conference of DGPs at the Saradar Vallabhbhai National Police Academy in Hyderabad today. The Prime Minister, who reached the academy last evening, took part in a Yoga session along with DGPs, IGPs and top brass of various central security agencies this morning.
Later, Mr Modi went around the National Police Academy and paid tributes at the statue of Sardar Vallabbhai Patel and also at the Martyrs’ Column. He planted a sapling in the premises of the academy. The Prime Minister will be addressing the top police officials and will take part in the deliberations till evening.
Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh, Ministers of State for Home Kiren Rijiju and Hansraj Gangaram Ahir, as well as National Security Adviser Ajit Doval are taking part in the three day conference. The Conference is being held for the third time outside Delhi. Tight security arrangements were in place at the academy. Internal security in the backdrop of sensitive situation along the LoC remains high on the agenda of the conference.
