ProMASS, Nov 14, 2016: The faithful of Catholic Church belonging to Shillong Archdiocese hailing from parishes yesterday took out a Eucharistic Procession in Shillong to mark the end of the “Year of Mercy”. The faithful sang hymns and devout members prayed the rosary, while the Eucharist carried in a decorated vehicle passed through the main road of Laitumkhrah locality.
The prayers were made for the Pope, clergy, world peace and peaceful living among the different communities. The Eucharistic Procession culminated at the Calvary with the celebration of Benediction. In Mizoram, members of the Catholic Church belonging to different parishes within the Aizawl Diocese also took out a massive Eucharistic Procession in Aizawl to mark the end of the “Year of Mercy”.
The ‘Procession of the Eucharist’ was led by Ranchi-based His Eminent Telesphoro Cardinal P Toppo, where Reverend Stephen Rotluanga, Bishop of Aizawl Diocese, also participated.
