Agartala, April 27, 2019: The basic need of the hour is to make information pertaining to consultation with specialist doctors and health institutions which have all the necessary equipments to treat the patients, easily available. And thus, AMRI hospitals Kolkata has begun a new information center at Agartala based “Medicaid” diagnostic clinic where specialist doctors will visit in regular intervals, said CEO AMRI group of hospitals Rupak Barua in Agartala today.
Addressing a press conference at Agartala this afternoon, Barua also stressed on how patients from remote parts of the country are being mistreated and said, if the patients cannot reach the right place in right time and once the golden hours are over it becomes, next to impossible for the doctors and the health staffs to treat the patients.
The new information centre that has been set up here in Agartala would help people of the state to know about different parts of the medical science in which we are well equipped, he added. Barua who was accompanied with senior doctors of hospital, Dr. Jayanta Roy, Dr. Atanu Jana and Dr. Soumya Paik also gave detailed note on the patients from Tripura who got treated in the hospital.
The other doctors also spoke on the occasion about various challenges that patients face. While asked about whether the AMRI group of hospitals is interested to set up an own unit or not, Rupak Barua said, there is a massive crisis when it comes to specialist doctors all over the country, so for us setting up a new infrastructure in Tripura is a bit difficult in this point of time but we are hopeful of doing so in a lesser extent in the beginning.
