Agartala, July 22, 2019: Far from madding crowd, hidden under lush green canopy – Buddha Fall at a desolate village under Unakoti in Tripura is a treasure of virgin scenic beauty. So long this beautiful place remained out of knowledge of people barring few local inhabitants – chirping of birds, sounds of waterfall blended perfectly with verdant hillocks – all were unknown to nature lover.
However, only recently, local MLA cum Minister Santana Chakma along with a group visited the waterfall after getting information from locals. Later she informed Chief Biplab Kumar Deb who readily agreed to visit the place.
Maneuvering difficult terrain, water soaked Biplab Deb reached the place on July 22 and expressed his feeling in his FaceBook post.
“Mesmerized by the view of #BuddhaFall in Shilcharra under Andharcherra ADC village of Unakoti district of Tripura. Spent time in the cave of the water fall and enjoyed the wilderness”.
