Agartala, Jun 17, 2019: Police arrested two persons identified as Ajay Reang and Saijul Hoque today at Gandacherra in connection with the violent attack carried out at the residence of newly elected BJP MP Rebati Tripura. Meanwhile, a BJP delegation today visited troubled Gandachhera and alleged that a section of the society with vested interests was conspiring and trying to vitiate peaceful condition of the State.
In relation to attack in MP’s house, Police sources said that several raids were carried out to nail each and every persons involved in the attack – so far two persons were arrested in connection with the attack.
Meanwhile, a delegation of BJP leaders this morning visited the violence stricken areas of Gandachhera subdivision. The delegation comprising BJP state General Secretary Rajeeb Bhattacharjee, spokesperson Nabendu Bhattacharjee, Pradesh President of Janajati Morcha Sanjay Jamatia and Dhalai District Presdent Parimal Debbarma along with Gandacherra Mondol President Bikash Chakma visited Gandacherra Hospital and met one injured party activist – Kishore Chakma.
Kishore sustained serious injuries when clashes broke out at Raisyabari yesterday centering a victory rally organized by the BJP. They also inquired about incident took place yesterday at Raisyabari. The visiting BJP leaders made arrangements to shift Kishore to GBP hospital at the earliest.
Later on, the party leaders went to the residence of MP Rebati Tripura and they inspected damaged properties of the MP. They also submitted a deputation to the SP of Dhalai district. The party leaders apprised the SP of the terrifying situation prevailed among the BJP supporters throughout the area and urged to take necessary steps as early as possible.
They were also assured of all the support from the police department and made aware of the fact that already police had initiated an investigation, and two persons were arrested accordingly.
Speaking to the media persons, the BJP leaders said, some people are hatching a well-orchestrated conspiracy in order to disturb the peaceful atmosphere of the state and a section of innocent IPFT supporters are being used for their gains. Strict actions will be taken against miscreants. The party leaders also participated in an organizational meeting at the party office later
