Iran’s Rostamyan Haniyeh and Golkhandan Vahid claimed the bronze medal. They finished with 415.8 points.

Indonesia’s Darmoyo A. and Prabowo M. took fourth place after recording 349.4.

Qualification Record Set Earlier

The Indian duo had already made their mark in the qualification round.

Suruchi and Kamaljeet registered 587 points, including 29 inner 10s, to break the Asian Games Qualification Record. The previous mark was 577, set by Indian shooters Sarabjot Singh and Divya Subbaraju at the Hangzhou 2023 Asian Games.

Their qualification score also matched the Asian Record.

The 587-point tally equalled the mark achieved by Saurabh Chaudhary and Manu Bhaker in 2021.

Gold Medal Adds to India’s Shooting Campaign

The final victory gave India another significant shooting medal in Nagoya. More importantly, the performance combined a gold-medal finish with a new Asian record.

Suruchi and Kamaljeet’s partnership remained central to the result. Both shooters delivered consistently when the final entered its decisive phase.
