The Tripura Government will recruit teachers in 3970 posts. State Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath said this in Agartala on Wednesday. He said, the council of ministers Cabinet has on Tuesday approved teachers’ recruitment in 3970 posts.
The decision has brought respite among the TET qualified candidates who are in wait to receive the offer letter for a long time following the COVID19 pandemic. The figure includes 65 Post Graduates, 175 Graduate Teachers (Class IX to X), 2055 Graduate Teachers (Class VI to VIII) and 1675 Under Graduates (Class I to V).

Besides, a decision has been taken by the council of ministers so that all the candidates, who already cleared the TET and now are in the waiting list, get offer letters by January next.
While briefing about the important cabinet decisions, Education minister Ratanlal Nath also said, a proposal would be sent to the Teachers’ Recruitment Board, Tripura (TRBT) for conducting Teachers’ Eligibility Test by this month.
“As of now, 1675 TET qualified candidates—650 Under Graduates for I to V (Paper I) and 1025 Graduates for VI to VIII (Paper II)—are now in waiting list. A plan is under consideration so that all the candidates, who already cleared the TET and now are in the waiting list, get offer letters by January”, Nath told the Media adding that the fresh recruitment would be done after providing offers to those in waiting list.

“After the formation of the new government, as many as 1824 teachers have been appointed so far. Meanwhile, 69 Graduate Teachers and 33 UGTs have been given posting this week while more 42 Graduate Teachers (Elementary) and 50 Under Graduate Teachers have also been given offer letters,” Nath pointed out.
The Covid19 pandemic had kept TET qualified candidates in waiting for a considerable time and the decision of recruitment has brought cheers among the concerned teachers.
