ProMASS, Oct 6, 2016: The annual two-day India Economic Summit has began today in New Delhi. Sri Lanka Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe attended the Opening Plenary session of the Economic Summit. Union Commerce and Industry minister Nirmala Sitharaman was also present.
With over 500 business and political leaders, including top policymakers and CEOs, are participating in the summit. The special focus in the summit is on ‘Fostering an Inclusive India through Digital Transformation’.
Speaking at the summit, Sri Lankan Prime Minister said that the FTA between the two nations will be further expanded and deepened. He also stated the proposed economic and technology agreements will be signed by the end of this year.
