August 12, 2018: Nursing students will have a chance to avail training and post-training job opportunities in Assam. The Chief Minister Biplab Deb while addressing a blood donation camp in Agartala Shibnagar said this. In the blood donation camp, 48 members of the club donated blood voluntarily.
Speaking on the occasion, Biplab Deb said, a proposal was made to the Assam Chief Minister Sarvananda Sonowal to allow students of Tripura to avail training in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) course in Assam. Sonowal also accepted request for creating post-training job opportunities to trainee candidates.
He said, “Accepting Tripura Govt’s proposal, Assam Chief Minister Sarvananda Sonowal recently agreed to allow 2000 students to avail training under GNM course in Assam”. Deb also added that post-training job opportunities would also be available for successful candidates.
Training facilities and exposure to bigger market in Assam are likely to benefit selected students and the State will also be benefited. Elaborating State Government’s outlook on Health Sector, Biplab Deb said, the Govt has initiated plan to launch e-health system to cater and monitor the health delivery system.
“Already we have setup health-related websites in all the eight districts and overhauling the health delivery system to cater needs of common people have been undertaken”, Deb said. While digitalization of the health system was emphasized, the State Government has also stressed on implementation of ‘Ayushman Bharat’ – a National Health Protection Mission. “The State Govt is committed to expand health care distribution system to poor and vulnerable section of the society. We have targeted to bring 5 lakh 20 thousand families under the ambit of the Ayushman Bharat”, Deb said.
