A group of people allegedly attempted to attack Tripura Pradesh Youth Congress President Pujan Biswas on Wednesday in front of Khowai district court, however he escaped unhurt.
According to sources, Biswas went to Khowai Court to appear for the youth Congress leaders who were implicated for triggering violence in Teliamura area last Monday. On his return after the Court proceedings, he was attacked by a large group of people. Biswas alleged the attack was carried out by BJP supporters. Biswas saved himself by driving inside the Court compound once again.
Later addressing a press conference, Das demanded immediate action against the perpetrators involved in the violent attacks. The police later escorted him out of the area where the problem erupted.
