The elected BJP members of the Tripura Tribal Area Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) called on Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb on Wednesday. Interacting with the members, Deb assured them and said that the state government was trying to develop drinking water facilities for the inaccessible and far-flung areas of the District Council by 2022.
During a meeting with the newly elected Members of District Council (MDCs) of the BJP party, the Chief Minister had advised all the new members to work with patience and coordination, a press statement issued by the Tripura government’s ICA department said.
According to the statement, the Chief Minister urged all the MDCs to maintain close contact with the public and work for the welfare of people. He said the government is relentlessly working to provide clean drinking water and connect with pucca roads to every household by 2022.
Apart from this, the state government is also working on implementing various developmental programmes in the ADC areas including education, health, drinking water, electricity etc. He also said, “the newly elected MDCs must discharge their duties responsibly so that people get benefitted out of it.”
The Chief Minister suggested the MDCs to work in coordination with the local MLAs, MPs and BAC Chairmen.
The Chief Minister asked the MDCs to responsibly make people aware of the online services provided by the ‘Jagrut Tripura’ website through which any beneficiary can obtain various facilities according to their ability.
He also stressed the need to stay informed about every scheme of the state government. He said, it is essential to keep time-to-time follow up of the developmental works for rural development, drinking water, health, electricity, PWD etc being implemented in the ADC areas. Not only this, the MDCs must keep regular contact with the concerned departments for timely completion of every work.
