Government is working towards overall development including infrastructural development of the state. Health infrastructure was decentralised amidst Covid pandemic, Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb said on Wednesday after inaugurating new office building of Old Agartala R.D block.

 

The new building of Old Agartala R.D Block was built investing 2 crore 73 lakh rupees.

 

The Chief Minister said, importance is being given to timely completion of work maintaining quality through proper planning and management. Giving importance to everyone’s health safety, state’s health services have been decentralised including infrastructural development, setting up oxygen plant, ventilator, ICU etc.

 

Besides this, state grown jackfruits and pineapples are helping the state towards economic self-reliance. For expansion of quality education in the state, initiative has been taken to set up 18 Eklavya schools and to bring 100 government schools under CBSE.

 

State government also has taken initiative to solve citizen’s grievances through strong and transparent administrative policy. For this Chief Minister Helpline number ‘1905’ has been launched on pilot basis in Dhalai district. Through this helpline number, people will be able to suggest or give feedback regarding government’s different works.

 

Deb said, Tripura has gained popularity through notable success in bringing about development in different sectors. It is the result of Prime Minister’s vision that development of the state is getting elevated. Due to proper implementation of Prime Minister’s HIRA model, advanced communication through highway, express train, Delhi-Agartala direct flight service is adding up to the state’s development.

 

He also said, blocks play key role in catering to the people with different facilities of welfare schemes of the government. Obstacle was created in completing different works in the past due to lack of proper planning.

 

It took 8 years to build Old Agartala block office building. But this time in just a year, one thousand flats are shaping up under Light House Project. This shows the difference in vision and working process.

 

The Chief Minister said, every central and state government schemes are being taken to the people irrespective of their political affiliation. Tripura has gained its place in the whole country for its success in different fields with Sabka Sath Sabka Vikas mentality.

 

The Chief Minister also said, people of the state are getting the benefits of different programmes adopted to bring overall development. With entrepreneurial mentality, new paths are opening up for alternate work opportunities.  Government does not show excuses to collect subscriptions but believes in bringing fund from Delhi under various schemes for overall development of the state.

 

Farmer’s incomes are already increasing. Due to CSCs in every village, people are now able to get government services at nearest as well as it gives job opportunity. Initiative has been taken for promotion of employees, Special Economic Zone, Integrated Check Post etc. are opening up state’s trade prospects.  None had to go hungry during the Covid pandemic.

 

Biplab Kumar Deb hoped that this newly built office building will play a significant role in bringing government services to the last person of the block area.

 

In the programme, the Chief Minister distributed sewing machines to beneficiaries, loan grant papers to SHGs, dustbins to different Gram Panchayats and Village Committees, machines to farmers and work order to Soma Barman (Das) for farming ornamental fish. He also said government is considering for construction of a foot bridge, a PHC and quality development of Old Agartala block area.

 

Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma in the programme said, an investment board has been formed to speed up the process of infrastructural development in the state whose main objective is to manage finance and take necessary decisions to complete the incomplete works soon.
