Three workers are missing and presumed dead following a collapse at a stone quarry in Mizoram’s Mamit district. This unfortunate event follows a grim pattern in the region. On November 14 last year, another stone quarry accident in Hnahthial district claimed the lives of 12 individuals. The National Green Tribunal (NGT) intervened by initiating a case concerning the quarry collapse and subsequently ordered a compensation of Rs 2.4 crore for the victims.
