ProMASS: Nov 19, 2016: In Assam, three army jawans were martyred and four injured in an ambush in Tinsukia district. Additional DGP Pallab Bhattacharya said that the incident occurred early this morning at Penegree in Tinsukia district.

He said that banned ULFA, NSCN as well as other terrorists groups have jointly carried out the attack. The terrorists attacked a patrolling party by triggering IED blast.
Army personnel engaged in retaliatory firing. Tinsukia SP has led a massive combing operation following the attack. Injured army men are undergoing treatment at hospital.
