ProMASS: DEC09,2016: Information and Broadcasting Secretary Ajay Mittal has said that states have an important role to play in nation’s development. Addressing officials at the inaugural session of 28th State Information Ministers Conference, SIMCON 2016 in New Delhi today, Mr Mittal said, it is the government’s philosophy that Centre and States should work together under the federal structure.
He said, without the state governments, Centre can’t work. Mr. Mittal said, there is no sphere of life where media has not made an entry and it is changing very rapidly.
Chief Secretaries, Principal Secretaries (Information) and Directors from States and other officials of the Central government are participating in the conference today.
