ProMASS: NOV 30, 2016:
Amid continuous impasse in Parliament on demonetisation issue, the government has again appealed to the opposition to allow the debate on the issue saying it is ready to hear the constructive suggestions to ease the problems faced by the people because of it. Speaking to media outside Parliament, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ananth Kumar said that ten to eleven days have already been wasted and it is high time to start the debate. He said the people want to know the every aspect of the demonetisation through Parliament. Mr Kumar said that the Prime Minister is ready to speak in both the Houses on the issue.
Information and Broadcasting Minister Venkaiah Naidu echoed similar views saying the government has nothing to hide. He said every party has, in principle, supported the demonetisation of high value currency and the message should also be sent through Parliament. He said the Centre is taking steps to ease the hardship of the people.
Another Union Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi criticised the opposition for disruption saying they lack facts to counter the government. He said the entire nation is in support of the move.
