A meeting was held at the Secretariat in Tripura under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Professor (Dr.) Manik Saha to review the draft of the Tripura School Quality Assessment and Accreditation Framework (TSQAAF).
The meeting was attended by the Special Secretary of the Education Department, Raval Hemendra Kumar, the Director of Secondary and Primary Education Department, N.C. Sharma, the Director of SCERT, L Darlong, and other officials of Samagra Shiksha Project and SCERT. The meeting discussed in detail the main components of the draft Tripura School Quality Assessment and Accreditation Framework.
The Chief Minister said the state government has always prioritized quality education. Therefore, along with building a better educational infrastructure, it is important to assess the overall level of education through continuous review.
Dr Manik Saha also mentioned the need to take necessary effective initiatives to ensure that students can perform well. In the meeting, the Chief Minister asked the concerned authorities to submit a detailed report on the implementation of the first phase pilot project of the Tripura School Quality Assessment and Accreditation Framework in Dhalai and South Tripura districts, so that the successes and challenges can be properly assessed.
The Special Secretary of the Education Department, Raval Hemendra Kumar, presented a detailed outline of the draft Tripura School Quality Assessment and Accreditation Framework (TSQAAF). He said that through the Tripura School Quality Assessment and Accreditation Framework, it would be possible to identify the educational and infrastructural problems and shortcomings of the school complexes and take appropriate remedial measures. The Special Secretary said it has been targeted to launch the Tripura School Quality Assessment and Accreditation Framework (TSQAAF) in the state soon.
In the meeting, the officials of SCERT and the Secondary Education Department discussed their ongoing teacher training programs.
