The main goal of the present state government is to transform Tripura into the best state of India in every sector including health, education and connectivity. So, the government is working for public welfare maintaining peace and prosperity in the state. The government’s different services and benefits are being delivered to the last person of society, said Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha after releasing the state government’s Report Card and combined booklets on the development and achievements of the BJP-led State Government at Rabindra Bhawan on Wednesday (Jan 4).
The Chief Minister said, the state government promised to bring its combined achievements through a Report Card before the people. The Planning & Commission department, Government of Tripura took the initiative to bring up the Report Card on achievements in important sectors conclusively.
Dr Saha said, the state government is working for the overall welfare of the people under the guidance of the Prime Minister. The state government has achieved plenty of success in each and every sector starting from connectivity to health and education. The state government has even received different awards from the central government.
He said, 6 NH roads are being constructed for better connectivity services of the state with the sincere cooperation of the central government. The central government has allotted Rs 10 thousand 222 crore for the construction of 7 more NH roads including the transformation of the Assam-Agartala NH road (NH-8) into a 4-lane road. Besides, the setting up of 4 Ropeways in the state has been approved.
Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma said, the government has published its Report Card to generate awareness among the public about the welfare works implemented in the past 4.5 years. The present state government has created new milestones in every sector including education, health, agriculture, connectivity and infrastructure. The government is working in a mission mode in each and every sector. As a result, huge success has been achieved in the state in improving power infrastructure as well as rail, airways and road connectivity.
“The state government and Asian Development Bank recently signed a historic contract of 2,275 crore rupees for the implementation of a power project. As a result, the state is forging ahead with a new vision in a new direction”, Dev Varma said.
