Chief Minister of Tripura, Dr. Manik Saha flagged off the Ayodhya-bound Astha Special Train at Agartala Railway Station on Wednesday evening. The train is carrying pilgrimage from all over Tripura to Ayodhya.
In a brief ceremony held at the railway station, the Chief Minister said that there was an atmosphere of atheism in this state for the most part since the seventies.
After the formation of the government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Center in 2014 and the formation of a new government in this state, a new environment has been created.
The inauguration of the Ramlala Temple in Ayodhya on January 22 has created an environment of faith and trust across the country.
The Chief Minister of Tripura expressed hope that the country will move up from 5th to 3rd position in terms of economy under the leadership of the Prime Minister.
He urged the passengers to pray to Lord Ramlala for the happiness and peace of the people of the state.
The Astha Special Train will leave Agartala this evening and reach Ayodhya on the 16th. It will then leave Ayodhya the next day and arrive in Agartala on the 19th.
In a social media post, Dr Saha wrote, "Over 400 pilgrims from various parts of Tripura boarded the 'Astha Special' train from Agartala today to visit Lord Rama in Ayodhya".
"I am extremely proud to be a witness to this special moment from Agartala railway station. I handed over small food packets to all the pilgrims".
"I express my sincere gratitude to Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji and Hon'ble Railway Minister Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw ji for running this special train from Tripura."
