Unity in diversity is the traditional heritage of our country. The Yuva Vikas Kendra (YVK) is working to carry forward this tradition of the country. This is certainly worthy of praise, said Chief Minister of Tripura Dr Manik Saha.
Speaking at the inauguration of the 7-day Heritage Festival organized by the Yuva Vikas Kendra (YVK) at Swami Vivekananda Maidan in Agartala on Thursday, the Chief Minister said, "About 65% of our country is youth. The Prime Minister has described this youth power as the main power of the country. The YVK is working to awaken the cultural tradition among the youth of the country. Such events will create a cultural bonding between the different states of the country as well as our neighboring countries."
Dr Manik Saha said, India is a country with a rich heritage. The cultural tradition of this country is praised all over the world. This year, the G-20 summit has been organized in our country with the thought of one world, one family, one future. Under the guidance of the Prime Minister, medical scientists have developed vaccines in indigenous technology during the Corona pandemic.
He further pointed out, the traditional culture of the tribes is also maintained in the state. The youth power has to come forward to carry forward this tradition. The government will always be there to provide assistance.
In the program, Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports Tinku Roy said, the Prime Minister of the country wants to see a new India and a youth India. The Prime Minister often says that youth power is a valuable asset of the country. This youth power has to be used in the development of the country." He said that at present, the youth power is playing a major role in the development of science, technology, and communication in the country.
In the welcome speech at the program, president of the YVK Debashish Majumder said, the Heritage Festival was successfully organized in Tripura last year as well. This year, youth representatives from 24 states of the country including Bangladesh, Bhutan, Indonesia, and Nepal are participating in the Heritage Festival. They will showcase their own culture in this seven-day festival."
Apart from this, Agartala Municipal Corporation Mayor Deepak Majumder, General Manager of NABARD Loken Das, and Vice-Chairman of the State Cultural Advisory Committee Subrata Chakraborty were present in the program.
