“We are following Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mantra- Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Biswas. So, we have to remember that neither we are Mizo nor Reang nor Bengali, at first we all are Indians,” Deb told the gathering with a message to maintain peace and harmony.

The Chief Minister also appreciated the people residing at Vangmun—the cleanest village. He said, apart from maintaining cleanliness, there is a need of development too. In this context, he said the works road from Vangmun to Simlung had already commenced at a project cost of Rs. 309.43 crore.

“Tripura became a full-fledged state in 1972. Since then, it’s the biggest ever project for the people of Vangmun,” Deb pointed out.

As per the memorandum, they demanded that the boundary-stretching by Mizoram Government of Tripura land near about 66 kms should be undertaken immediately by the Government of Tripura as well as the demarcation of the entire stretched land in no time for the benefit of the inhabitants of Tripura.
