“So long, unmarried daughters, not the married ones, were eligible for availing of the die-in-harness. However, our government has decided that married women will get government jobs under this scheme if their father or mother passes away while on the job within 50 years of age. In such a case, the willing married women will have to obtain NOC from the family members”, the Minister said.

ICA-Minister-Tripura-Sushanta-cabinetHe, however, mentioned that the income of the husband of the willing married woman will be considered. If the husband or son of the married daughter of a deceased government employee is employed in service, such married daughter shall not come under the purview of this scheme.

On recruitment, the Minister said, “decisions were taken to recruit 1000 Police constables under the Home Department on earlier cabinet meeting. While the cabinet, before the by-elections, gave its nod to recruit 500 Police constables – in today’s meeting, the cabinet has green signalled a decision to recruit 500 Police constables”.

The ICA also said, a decision has been taken to recruit 100 Junior Physical Instructors under the Youth Affairs and Sports department and 60 Agriculture Officers through TPSC exams under the Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare department.
