VBSY, PGS 2.0: Tripura CM pitches for good governance to last person of society

The commitment to provide good governance to the last person in society through the eradication of corruption, which was made during the tenure of former Prime Minister 'Bharat Ratna' Atal Bihari Vajpayee, is the current form of implementation of the 'Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra' of the beloved Prime Minister Narendra Modi, said Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha in Agartala on Wednesday.

He also said Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra and Prati Ghore Sushason programmes also aim at ensuring public awareness about the benefits of various government schemes.

Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha was speaking at the inaugural programme of the two-day West Tripura district-based Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra and Prati Ghore Sushason fair at Swami Vivekananda Maidan in Agartala.

Speaking at the event, the Chief Minister said that the real purpose of good governance is to improve the quality of life of the people by properly implementing the various plans adopted by the government. To realize the dream of former Prime Minister late Vajpayee, PM Narendra Modi launched the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra on November 15, 2023, the day of "Janjati Gourav Diwas" across the country.

The Chief Minister further said that the current government of Tripura also started the "Prati Ghore Sushason" in 2022 in that direction. Through this campaign, about 23 lakh people in the state benefited from the various schemes and services of the government. The second phase of this campaign was launched on November 15, 2023 on the basis of the success of the first phase.

The Chief Minister explained the purpose and objectives of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra and Proti Ghore Sushason Abhiyan.

The Chief Minister said that the current government is working sincerely in the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The main goal of this government is that the people do not have to come to this government, the government will come to the people. The Chief Minister wished all success for the two-day fair.

Tourism Minister Sushant Chowdhury said at the event that the current government is a people-friendly government. This government is always trying to provide opportunities to the people and reach the people. This is the result of the efforts of the "Developed India Mission Journey" and the "Per House Good Governance Campaign".

West Tripura District Magistrate and Collector Dr. Vishal Kumar gave the welcome speech at the event. Also present were Mayor of Agartala Deepak Majumder, MLA Ratan Chakraborty, MLA Mina Rani Sarkar, Secretary of the Information and Culture Department Dr. P.K. Chakraborty, Director of the Information and Culture Department Bishwas Bhattacharjee, Additional Commissioner of Agartala Sajjad P, Additional District Magistrate and Collector Pashupati Badal Negi, etc.

It is to be noted that the officials and employees working in various departments were awarded on the basis of their efficiency in implementing government schemes. The Chief Minister and the present guests handed them certificates as awards. At the end of the event, the Chief Minister visited the exhibition stalls of various government departments in the fair premises.

Dr Saha said that the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, which was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on November 15, 2023, the day of "Janjati Gourav Diwas", is a continuation of the vision of former Prime Minister 'Bharat Ratna' Atal Bihari Vajpayee, who had committed to eradicate corruption and improve the quality of life of the people. 

He said that the current government of Tripura also started the "Prati Ghore Sushason" campaign in 2022, which has benefited about 23 lakh people in the state through various schemes and services. 

The Chief Minister said that the second phase of this campaign was launched on November 15, 2023, based on the success of the first phase.

Dr Saha said that the current government is working sincerely in the vision of Prime Minister Modi and that the main goal of this government is to reach out to the people and provide them with opportunities. 

Tourism Minister Sushant Chowdhury, who was also present at the event, said that the current government is a people-friendly government and that the efforts of the Vikshit Bharat Sankalp Yatra and the "Prati Ghore Sushason Campaign are evident in the fair.

West Tripura District Magistrate and Collector Dr. Vishal Kumar, Mayor of Agartala Deepak Majumder, MLA Ratan Chakraborty, MLA Mina Rani Sarkar and other distinguished guests were present.

The officials and employees working in various departments were awarded certificates for their efficiency in implementing government schemes.
