ProMASS: Nov 15, 2016: After declaring demonetization, Union Govt is exploring new avenues as a follow up measures. News sources said, Government will now be using indelible ink marks for disbursing cash to curtail misuse by certain miscreants. In view of serpentine queues outside ATMs and banks, the step aims to tackle the problem of long cues outside ATM’s and Banks and prevent misuse of bank facilities. Addressing the media Economic Affairs Secretary Shaktikant Das commented the govt has received reports that many people are trying to convert black money into white by using organised groups of people whom they are sending to banks to exchange money.
To address this problem govt has decided to use indelible ink marks, similar to elections, on cash counters. Talking about false rumours about shortage of salt, Shaktikant Das assured there is enough stocks of salt and there is no shortage.
