Tripura has secured the first position in the group of four states in the prestigious National Energy Conservation Award 2024.
Moreover, the state has won the first prize in the Group-B category of the National Painting Competition on Energy Conservation.
According to a press release issued by NEEPCO, he Bureau of Energy Efficiency, under the Ministry of Power, organized this competition.
Ritesh Guha Roy, a class 10 student of Bhavan's Tripura Vidya Mandir, Agartala, won the first prize in the Group B (Class 8-10) category of this all-India painting competition.
The second and third prize winners are Miss Nishtha Priyam Sharma (Class IX) of Gurukul Grammar Senior Secondary School, Guwahati (Assam), and Rudrangsh Jindal (Class X) of St. Edward's School, Shimla, Himachal Pradesh.
Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar honored the winners of the National Painting Competition on Energy Conservation 2024 on Saturday, December 14, 2024, on the occasion of National Energy Conservation Day.
Union Minister of State for Power and New and Renewable Energy R. K. Singh, Secretary, Ministry of Power, and other senior officials of the Ministry were present on the occasion.
Gurdeep Singh, CMD, NEEPCO, Major General R. K. Jha, AVSM (Retd.), Director (P), and other senior officials were also present at the event.
It is worth noting that the Bureau of Energy Efficiency, under the Ministry of Power, Government of India, organizes this national painting competition on energy conservation.
NEEPCO conducted this state-level competition in the four states of Tripura, Meghalaya, Nagaland, and Mizoram.
Nearly 70 lakh students across the country participated in this competition.
Major General R. K. Jha, Director (P), and CMD Shri Gurdeep Singh of NEEPCO congratulated the winners and all the participants representing the four states.
