Tripura Tourism Fest 2024 Ends: Shreya Ghoshal Leads a Night of Rhythm and Cultural Traditions

The curtains came down on the Tripura Tourism Promo Fest 2024 on Saturday night with a spectacular musical performance by one of the country’s most popular playback singers, Shreya Ghoshal, in Agartala.  

The Fest, inaugurated on December 3 by Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha at the picturesque Narikelkunja, was organized by the Tourism Department to promote the state’s unique cultural and natural heritage.  

Shreya Ghoshal welcomed by Tripura CMOver the course of the event, a series of cultural programs unfolded at various iconic tourist destinations, including Neermahal and Jampui Hills. The grand finale took place at Swami Vivekananda Maidan, where the enchanting Shreya Ghoshal mesmerized the audience with her melodious voice, leaving an indelible mark on the festival.  

The closing ceremony was graced by Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury, and other dignitaries, who warmly welcomed the celebrated singer on behalf of the people of Tripura.  

Before Shreya Ghoshal took the stage, local artists set the mood with captivating performances showcasing the rich cultural traditions of Tripura’s 19 ethnic communities. The evening also featured high-energy performances by the National Rhythm Band and renowned state singer Sourabhee Debbarma, igniting the audience’s excitement.  

As Shreya Ghoshal took center stage, the approximately 50,000-strong crowd erupted in cheers, singing and dancing along with her performances. Her visible joy at the audience's enthusiasm added to the magic of the evening. Beyond the venue, a large crowd gathered along the roadside to catch glimpses of the performance, enjoying every moment.  

Music lovers of Tripura expressed heartfelt gratitude to Shreya Ghoshal for a memorable night, while the singer complimented the audience for their energy and unwavering support.  

The event concluded on a high note, with disciplined and spirited music lovers proving that they could celebrate to the fullest while maintaining remarkable decorum.
