Tripura CM visits International stadium, reviews ongoing construction works

Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb on Tuesday visited Narsingarh polytechnic stadium and reviewed the work process of the ongoing International Cricket Stadium there.

 

In pursuance of building Nesha Mukt Tripura, the State government is working relentlessly to develop the Sports sector, decentralize facilities and engage the youths in sports activities to keep them away from addiction, Deb said while inspecting the Stadium construction works.

 

Biplab Kumar Deb was accompanied by Tripura cricket association president Dr Manik Saha, joint secretary Kishore Kumar Das and other officials.

 

International-Stadium-CM-Tripura-News“The stadium is being built at a cost of Rs 185.13 Crore spreading in an area of 14.22 acre and will have a seating capacity of over 22,375 people. Asked the officials to expedite the work of the stadium, I am sure, the stadium will be ready to be inaugurated by November 2022”, Deb said.

 

This international cricket stadium is expected to be completed by October-November 2022, said Dr Manik Saha, president of the state cricket body.

 

Joint secretary Kishore Kumar Das has been overseeing the work of the International Cricket Stadium almost daily for the past few months and keeping update president about the work. Biplab Kumar Deb also spoke to the workers involved in the construction work. He also said that special attention should be paid to the construction of the stadium in a perfect manner.

 

He said it would be a beautiful gift to the common people and sports personalities of Tripura.  There is a modern standard dressing room, commentators’ box, VIP lounge and multiple arrangements. A presentation was made on behalf of the construction company to the Chief Minister.
