Tripura Suffer a Hat-trick of Defeats in Under-15 National Cricket Tournament
Tripura suffered a hat-trick of defeats but showed some signs of improvement in the Under-15 Girls' National Cricket tournament. In the match held on Monday at the Ayush Cricket Academy ground in Dehradun, Tripura lost to Chandigarh by 2 wickets. Chasing Tripura's score of 132, Chandigarh secured the required runs with 14 balls to spare, losing 8 wickets in the process.
Angel Pal stood out for Tripura, scoring 48 runs. In the first two matches, Angel Pal failed to score significant contributions. Despite a slow batting, her return to form greatly relieved the team management.
However, the team's extremely slow batting was a major concern and a significant reason for their defeat. Winning the toss and opting to bat first, Tripura faced pressure right from the start.
Angel Pal carried the team single-handedly but batted at a very slow pace. If Anushka Patari had not shown some resistance towards the end, Tripura's score might not have crossed the 100-run mark.

The team also gained 35 extra runs. Tripura managed to score 132 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in their allotted 35 overs. For Chandigarh, Eshal took 2 wickets for 19 runs.
In response, Chandigarh chased down the target in 32.4 overs, losing 8 wickets. For the team, opener Jasmit Kaur Gill scored 39 runs off 72 balls with three boundaries, Harshe scored 14 off 12 balls with two boundaries (not out), and Eshal contributed 11 runs off 33 balls. Chandigarh also gained 26 extra runs.
For Tripura, Fuleshwari Debnath took 2 wickets for 40 runs. Tripura's next opponent is Baroda on November 27.
