Ramakrishna Mission School, Vivek Nagar, has brought immense pride to Tripura by excelling not only in academics but also in cultural and musical pursuits.
The school’s music team has achieved a significant milestone, earning top honors in a national-level group song music competition. Bharat Vikas Parishad organized the competition in Bengaluru.
On Sunday, December 15, 2024, the students participated in the grand finale of the event and secured first place in two categories - patriotic songs in Sanskrit and folk songs in Bengali.
The school also won third place in the patriotic songs category in Hindi, a rare feat that further highlights their musical excellence.
Competing against schools from across India—including Tamil Nadu, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh—the Vivek Nagar team emerged victorious, showcasing exceptional talent and dedication.
A Significant Achievement :
On December 16, the Vivek Nagar Ramakrishna Mission School accomplished the extraordinary feat of winning two first-place awards and one third-place award across three categories. Out of eight state-level music teams that qualified for the national competition, the Vivek Nagar Ramakrishna Mission School from Tripura stood out with its stellar performances.
Journey to Success:
Their journey began by securing first place at the state-level competition organized by Bharat Vikas Parishad, which earned them a spot at the Northeast regional competition in Guwahati on November 17, 2024. At the regional level, the team was crowned "Group Champion," which paved their way to the national stage in Bengaluru.

The talented music team comprises students from Class 10: Karnak Chakraborty, Sauvik Das, Sambedak Debnath, Jonel Debbarma, Elbin Chakma, Somshubhra Das, Abhinav Banik, Prasun Dutta, Kirtitaj Das, Bhargav Kar, and Anirban Ghosh. They were mentored by their dedicated music teacher, Sukanta Sharma, and supported by teachers Swapan Debnath and guardians Kabir Chakraborty and Jayanta Das.
